Summary
ALegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer managed to kill a Gleeok with a bow from across the map. Out of all theGleeok takedown videos posted online, this method is one of the easiest to pull off as long as the player has all the right equipment and items.
There are very few enemies inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomthat are as difficult to take down as a Gleeok. A Gleeok is a three-headed monster resembling a dragon with a considerably large health pool and high defense. The game has three different kinds of Gleeoks: the Flame Gleeok, which utilizes fire-based attacks; the Frost Gleeok, which has ice-based moves; and the Thunder Gleeok, which wields electric-based attacks. King Gleeoks can also be found in Hyrule and have the power of all three Gleeok types.

Reddit user Champions-Descendant posted a clip on theTears of the Kingdomsubreddit ofLink taking down a Gleeokfrom a great distance away. In the video, Link can be seen pointing a bow at the flying monster from the top of a nearby mountain. He fuses a Gleeok Wing to his arrow before firing. When the arrow hits it, the Gleeok barely reacts. Link repeats the process two more times, dropping the beast to the ground forever.
Champions-Descendant pulled this off because of the weapon he was using, his equipment, and the items he fused to each arrow. The item he was fusing to his arrows are calledGleeok Wings inTears of the Kingdom, and when fused to an arrow, it makes it fly farther. This allowed the player to be as far away as they were. The bow used in the clip is called the Zonaite Bow, and it allows the player to charge up their shot using LInk’s energy meter. The longer the shot takes to charge, the more damage it does.
Link was also wearing the Barbarian Armor setin the clip, which gives his damage a significant boost, similar to some meals and elixirs in the game. Players can find all three pieces of the Barbarian armor set in specific caves around Hyrule. Unfortunately, the posted clip is short and only shows the final moments of Link killing the Gleeok, making it impossible to confirm that it only took three shots to pull off. However, while using all of the same damage-boosting weapons and items, players can still pull this off themselves, even if it takes a few more shots.
