Now, Nintendo has divulged that those fans who decide to pick up a disc version of the forthcoming game for the Wii U on its release date will be required to download 3GB worth of data.

This revelation comes by way ofNintendo of Japan’s page for the game(viaNintendo Everything), as those who purchase Link’s latest adventure on the Wii U will be subject to a mandatory installation of 3GB of information. At this point in time, however, there has been no confirmation as to exactly what the download forThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Wii U version will contain.

Instead of picking up the physical disc forThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildon Wii U, fans with more data to spare can opt to download the game’s digital version instead. Of course, it must be noted that digital iteration forBreath of the Wildon Wii U is a considerably larger package than the information contained on-disc, as it will need 13GB of hard drive space.

Should there be fans out there who are planning on jumping from the Wii U to Switch and buyingThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, they ought to be aware of its file size as well. Those making the leap onto Nintendo’s forthcoming console will need to have lots of space available, asBreath of the Wildtakes up roughly half of the Switch’s hard drive, with the game weighing in at 13.4GB and the system containing 32GB.
