Summary
TheHalofranchise is in a bit of a strange spot right now. Once the crown jewel of Xbox’s first-party line-up,Halohas undoubtedly lost its shine, at least a little. While 343 Industries hasn’t done an awful job with theHalolicense, it’s definitely made some pretty big fumbles over the last few years, andHalo Infinitehas unfortunately been one of those. ThoughHalo Infinite’s multiplayer was deemed as a great return to form upon its initial release, 343’s lackluster approach to the live-service model left fans disappointed within months, buttheHalofranchiseisn’t down for the count just yet.
Despite where the franchise began at the start of the year, 2023 has actually been a pretty solid one forHalo. Slowly but surely,Halo Infiniteis becoming the game that fans always wanted it to be, with campaign co-op, Forge, and Firefight finally all in the game. And, hopefully, this is just the start of what 343 Industries has in store for the future of theHalofranchise.

Halo Infinite Will See More Updates in 2024
Currently, there is no official2024 roadmap forHalo Infinite. That being said, 343 Industries has been pretty upfront about its plans with at least the multiplayer portion of the game, stating on multiple occasions that it plans to continue support forHalo Infinitefor a good while yet. Therefore, fans can expect to seeHalo Infinitereceive frequent updates throughout 2024, hopefully appearing at a slightly more consistent rate than in previous years.
Halo Infinite’s current Season, Reckoning, is set to end on January 30 alongside the third annual Winter Contingency in-game event. Though it hasn’t been confirmed, many fans are assuming thatHalo Infinite’s sixth Season will drop immediately after it. Regardless of whenHalo Infinite’s next Seasondoes appear, fans can probably expect to see a handful of new maps, new modes, new armor cosmetics, new weapons, and maybe even some new vehicles all appear in the game during the course of 2024.
Halo Season 2 Premieres in February 2024
Released back in March 2022,the first season of Paramount+‘sHaloshowproved to be pretty controversial from start to finish. Bending and even breaking theHalouniverse’s lore to fit its own narrative, many die-hardHalofans weren’t too happy with the live-action show, but its viewing numbers proved to be impressive regardless, and a second season was green-lit immediately.
The overall product may have been fairly disappointing, but Paramount+‘sHaloshow wasn’t all bad, with Pablo Schreiber putting in an excellent performance as the Master Chief, and the series’ action sequences managing to bring the frenetic energy of the games’ combat to life on-screen. With some better writing behind it and more of a return to the series' lore,Halocould easily redeem itself, and quickly become a dream come true for fans.
It won’t be long before fans get another chance to see if they like theHaloshow, as season 2 is right around the corner. Debuting with two episodes on June 27, 2025,HaloSeason 2seemingly revolves around the Fall of Reach, one of the most iconic in-universe events in the entireHalofranchise, and the setting of the beloved 2010 spinoffHalo: Reach. If anything can redeem theHaloshow, it’s a faithful on-screen adaptation of the Fall of Reach.
It’s been recently rumored that 343 Industries is working on a newHalocampaign using the Unreal Engine, but 343 Industries' Brian Jarrard recently stated that there’s no campaign DLC forHalo Infinitecurrently in active development.
