They each shape the future of their students in various ways and show that being a teacher is much more than imparting knowledge, but helping their students identify and surpass their limits.
8Akari Nitta
Sorcerer That Uses Her Keen Eye Out In The Field
As the auxiliary manager at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, Akari Nitta is responsible for overseeing students who conduct official jujutsu sorcery business when out in public throughout Japan. Despite the character not demonstrating her abilities as a sorcerer,Akari is often tasked with dangerous missionsthat put her life at risk, with the character keeping an eye out on students during the Shibuya Incident arc.
In her role, Akari shows great responsibility by being stern and caring towards students such as Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki when out in the field.
7Shoko Ieiri
Sorcerer Who Uses Rare Reversed Cursed Techniques To Her Advantage
Being the formerclassmate of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, Shoko Ieiriwas pinned between two of the modern age’s strongest jujutsu sorcerers. Despite this, Shoko is a character who uses her knowledge as a sorcerer to become a healer, with Shoko occupying the doctor role at Tokyo Jujutsu High School.
Shoko was known to go on missions with her classmates, indicating that the sorcerer had some combat experience. However, Shoko opts to use her rare reverse cursed technique to enter the medical field, saving many sorcerers in the process.
6Kiyotaka Ijichi
Timid Individual Able To Summon Shikigami And Jujutsu Barriers During Combat
Kiyotaka Ijichi is a crucial figure at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, acting as a director who works under principal Masamichi Yaga. Often found to be undermined by the sorcerer supreme, Gojo, Ijichi is usually seen as someonein the school hierarchy who is responsible for students, with the sorcerer having a similar role to Akari.
In terms of strength, Ijichi proves his worth as he can conjure jujutsu barriers and shikigami out on missions, with the character being of use in various events throughoutJJK. Against Geto’s forces in the Cursed Child arc, Ijichi is prepared to go toe-to-toe with two of Geto’s disciples, Mimiko and Nanako Hasaba. Despite his timid persona, Ijichi’s willingness to get in the thick of action shows him to be competent in combat.
5Utahime Iori
Sorcerer Who Can Amplify Cursed Energy Within A Radius
Utahime Iori is a Kyoto Jujutsu High School teacher who oversees students' development,such as Aoi Todo and Mechamaru. Utahime is a semi-grade one sorcerer who is often shown to be aggressive and ferocious. Much of her personality is brought out thanks to Gojo, with the sorcerer being a constant thorn in Utahime’s side due to their relationship as former students and now fellow teachers.
In combat, Utahime is shown to be a strong fighter, with the sorcerer being invaluable due to her ranking as a semi-grade one sorcerer. In the Shibuya Incident arc, Utahime arrives alongside many of her students to help Yuji fight against Kenjaku and Uraume, with Utahime showing her prowess in combat as she saves Kasumi Miwa from one of Kenjaku’s curses.
4Masamichi Yaga
Grade 1 Sorcerer Able To Master The Creation Of Cursed Corpses
For many, such asGojo and Geto, Masamichi has been a constant figure in their livesfor many years, even beyond their student years. Formally a teacher, Principal Masamichi reached his position through his notoriety as a sorcerer, achieving grade one level through his use of cursed corpses.
Masamichi showed great mastery of conjuring corpses, with the sorcerer being able to create Panda, a cursed energy corpse with real thoughts and emotions similar to those of a human. Despite Masamichi meeting his end to Gakuganji in one-on-one combat, Masamichi can put up enough of a fight to break Gakuganji’s guitar, showing incredible strength until his last breath.
Role In The Lives Of Their Students
As a teacher/principal, Masamichi Yaga didn’t play a big role in the lives of Itadori and the rest of the first years. Most of his teaching was experienced by Geto, Gojo, and Shoko, who he always seemed to look out for. Becoming the principal of the Tokyo Academy speaks volumes about Masamichi’s leadership prowess, and while he wasn’t all-powerful compared to the likes of Gojo, he was strong enough to hold his own and even targeted forhis mastery of cursed corpses. Right until his death, Masamichi always cared about his students, even those he wasn’t principally in charge of, like Itadori.
3Yoshinobu Gakuganji
Old Timer Capable Of Emitting Cursed Energy Waves
Despite Yoshinobu Gakuganji’s considerable age, the sorcerer is one of the strongest members of the faculty, with his undeniable experience making him a powerful force. As theKyoto Jujutsu High School principal and member of the jujutsu higher-ups, Gakuganji holds a lot of sway in the jujutsu world, allowing the principal to order sorcerers around as he pleases.
During the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc, Gakuganji shows his prowess in his technique as he amplifies sounds from his guitar, creating cursed energy that can be sent in waves to attack individuals. Against formidable foes, Gakuganji is able to defeat Masamichi Yaga, a grade one sorcerer, in a duel, showing his strength as a sorcerer.
The principal of the Kyoto Jujutsu High School hardly gets along with the faculty from Tokyo Jujutsu High, as he’s always at loggerheads with Gojo and carried out the execution of Masamichi Yaga. Despite being a principal and someone who’s to prioritize the welfare of the students, Gakuganji saw no value in keeping Itadori alive and likened his existence to that of a curse. Moreover, he always secretly tried to execute Itadori and was not above collaborating with a few curses to achieve his end goals. Despite his many less-than-ideal traits as a teacher, Gakuganji possesses immense influence in the Jujutsu world and the capabilities to back it up.
2Atsuya Kusakabe
Master Swordsman Who Uses Physical Skills Over An Innate Technique
As the teacher to second-year students Panda, Maki Zenin, and Toge Inumaki, Atsuya Kusakabe is integral in aiding their development as jujutsu sorcerers. Being a master swordsman, Kusakabe has incredible skill with his blade, leading Mei-Mei, Gojo, and Kento Nanami to view Kusakabe as the strongest grade-one sorcerer.
During theShibuya Incident arc, Kusakabe plays a vital role, showing his strength in the fight against Kenjaku and Uraume as he helps save Miwa from death. Kusakabe may appear nervous and tense, but the sorcerer can gauge an opponent’s strength level, determining whether he can defeat a foe in only seconds.
Compared to the likes of most teachers, Kusakabe doesn’t find it honorable to sacrifice his life for his students or be involved in big fights. He’ll much prefer not to be involved when it comes to natural walking disasters like Sukuna or the unregistered special-grade curses. While he’s often looked on as a coward because of this, this trait of his has most definitely helped him stay alive, as he doesn’t have a cursed technique.During the Shibuya arc, Kusakabe led Panda through the subway trying his best not to enter the fray. While he doesn’t find the prospect of “surpassing his limits” exciting while fighting powerful enemies, there’s a lot to learn from him.
1Satoru Gojo
Powerful Sorcerer That Inherits Six Eyes And The Limitless Technique
InJJK, no character is more influential and sought after than Gojo, a sorcerer with the weight of the world on his shoulders. As the strongest sorcerer around,Gojo does his best to battle the emerging wave of curses, teaching at Tokyo Jujutsu High School to bring up the next batch of sorcerers who can share the frontline alongside him.
Gojo’s strength as a sorcerer is otherworldly, with Gojo being able to effortlessly take down villains such as Jogo, Hanami, and a weakened Sukuna, the king of curses. Gojo’s wacky antics can often irritate many around him, but despite this, there is no doubt Gojo is one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers in history.
Aside from his overpowering abilities,Satoru Gojo stands as one of the bestteachers in the series. He takes the lives of his students comically but seriously and is always allowing them to constantly see more sights. Gojo’s immense powers have undoubtedly contributed to his teaching effectiveness, as he had Itadori accompany him to defeat Jogo and Hanami simply so the budding sorcerer could experience techniques and his domain expansion. What many might consider excessive, Gojo saw as effective and carried out his teaching duties that way. He was also able to accurately see through his students and guide them down the right path while also ensuring they had control, even if a little, over their lives.
