Since its launch last year,Starfieldplayers have enjoyed a host of improvements that have come to the game as part of Bethesda’s ongoing support for its latest RPG. Features like city maps, interior ship decoration, 60 FPS on console, and Creation Club mod support have turned sentiment surrounding the game positive as fans eagerly awaitStarfield’s much anticipated Shattered Space DLC, set to release later this year.
Like most other RPGs of its nature,Starfieldoffers a New Game Plus experience for players who beat the game, though being a sci-fi space adventure, its version of the feature is quite unique. Uponentering the Unity at the end ofStarfield’s main quest, players are brought to the beginning of the game’s story but in a different, alternate universe where the main faction, Constellation, may look dramatically different. Many of these changes to Constellation players can encounter in New Game Plus are extreme. Some players have entered the faction’s headquarters, the Lodge, for the first time to find the robot Vasco as the sole survivor, or to find all the members replaced with children. Naturally, these changes permeate the entiretyStarfield’s main story, as Constellation is the game’s most important faction.
One player came across a particularly strange universe upon their22nd time throughStarfield’s Unity. Reddit user WisdomOfTheStar posted a gallery of images showing variants of their own player character having replaced each Constellation member. The original attire of each member has also been replaced with different types of space suits, so it’s difficult to tell whether it’s just a visual change and all the members are still the same, retaining their corresponding voices, or if they’ve truly been fully replaced by variants of the player character.

SinceStarfield’s alternate universesappear to the player at random upon stepping through the Unity, there’s no telling how many times a player would need to beatStarfieldif they wanted to deliberately end up in this specific variant universe. Luckily,Starfieldplayers are able to make a save right before entering the Unity at the end of the game to revert to if they don’t get the variant of Constellation they’re looking for. However, with how many variants there are, the randomized nature of New Game Plus, and the need to play through the game’s opening moments before arriving at the Lodge, this can take hours.
AlthoughStarfield’s Shattered Space DLCstill has yet to divulge its Fall release date, it has been revealed that it’ll largely have to do with the mysterious House Va’ruun cult. It’ll be interesting to see if and how Shattered Space’s content could potentially change based on New Game Plus runs, and whether having Constellation member and former Va’ruun spy Andreja either alive or dead will factor into its narrative.
