Released in 2011, it would be understandable to assume that manySkyrimplayers are ready for the next installment in the epic RPG series. However, withBethesda concentrating on finishing upStarfield, a new entry inThe Elder Scrollsis likely years away. However,TES5fans are still getting a lot of mileage out of this game, and while much of that involves making new mods or crafting real-world equivalents of in-game assets, sometimes it involves showcasing some of the game’s most amusing glitches.

That’s what Reddit user Aldipxp has done, at least. For the benefit of otherSkyrimfans, this player has uploaded a screenshot from their playthrough, which shows a rather unusual image. Within Whiterun, atop what appears to be Belethor’s General Goods, stands Nazeem. Nothing much is really known about the scene. It’s obviously another instance of a bug, but some in the comments have created a mini-backstory, saying that this NPC has had enough of all the hate that he’s been getting over the years.

Nazeem is one ofSkyrim’s most hated characters, probably more so than the likes of Cicero or Heimskr. The general disdain for Nazeem stems from the fact that he has a very famous catchphrase, which has irked players pretty much since the game came out more than a decade ago. When approached, this Whiterun dweller will usually ask the Dragonborn whether they get to the Cloud District often. Without even waiting for a response, Nazeem will say, almost derisively, “Oh, what am I saying. Of course you don’t.” Hence, many fans have taken personal offense at this elitist attitude, with his death often being the result of such snide commentary.

While it seems as though this is a harmless glitch, as Nazeem isn’t a key character in the game aside from all the hate he gets, it is another example of how this RPG can seem plagued by a number of issues. Even theAnniversary Edition ofSkyrimhas game-breaking bugs. While the worst ones can cause problems for players, impeding progress or just smashing the immersion, such glitches have almost become a part of the game’s charm over the years.

In general, Bethesda’s open-world epic has had a significant impact on the gaming world, so much so thatSkyrimEaster eggs have been found in the cat gameStray. Give how long the game has been out, many are now anticipatingThe Elder Scrolls 6. Whether it will contain as many amusing bugs as this entry cannot be said at this stage.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
