According to a new rumor,Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlcould be getting a sequel. Developed by lesser-known studios Ludosity and Fair Play Labs, 2021’sNickelodeon All-Star Brawllooked to replicate the successful 2D platform-brawler formula ofSuper Smash Bros.using characters from classic Nickelodeon franchises likeSpongeBob SquarePants,Invader Zim,Avatar: The Last Airbender, and countless others. Reviewers praisedAll-Star Brawl’s gameplay mechanics but noted the lack of variety and voice acting from the original Nickelodeon shows at launch.

Regardless, many felt thatNickelodeon All-Star Brawlhad potential that could be better realized in a sequel, and there have beenrumors of aNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2over the past few months. Back in January, images ofSpongeBob SquarePants’s Squidward and the titularDanny Phantomas playable characters in a newAll-Star Brawlgame started circulating on the internet, along with theories that developer GameMill could formally announce this sequel as early as this July. Additionally, a possible logo forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2was leaked a brief while later.

More evidence of aNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2has just been leaked online, courtesy of YouTuber and video game rumor hunter PapaGenos. In their latest video, PapaGenos claims that the same unnamed source that informed them aboutNickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s Rocko DLCtold them that a sequel is indeed in the works. Furthermore, a pair of images depicting the potential box art forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2was shown, and PapaGenos has received word of two new playable characters for the game: Jimmy Neutron fromJimmy Neutron: Boy Geniusand Vlad Plasmius fromDanny Phantom.

Both characters can be seen in the leakedNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2box art, along with characters from the lastAll-Star Brawllike SpongeBob, Patrick,Korra fromThe Legend of Korra,Jenny fromMy Life as a Teenage Robot, and Garfield. PapaGenos notes that at the very bottom of the leaked box art, Squidward’s head can be seen, adding credence to January’sAll-Star Brawl 2leak. Raphael from theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlescan also be seen on the box art, suggesting that he will be the third Turtle brother to be included in anAll-Star Brawltitle - and PapaGenos suspects that Donatello won’t be too far behind.

PapaGenos also points to an old piece of concept art from the beginning ofNickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s developmentthat featured plenty of characters that didn’t make the final game - including the ones featured in the leakedAll-Star Brawl 2box art. The Nickelodeon universe is filled with memorable characters that could make great additions to theAll-Star Brawlroster, and if this leaked box art is legitimate, then they could very well appear in the rumored sequel if and when it launches.
