Palworldhas become a major success early into 2024, becoming one of Steam’s highest-selling games in only a matter of weeks.Palworldoffers a variety of gameplay features,such as survivaland farming elements, although the game’s main attraction is its Pals, which are creatures based on animals. Pals can be used in battle, or to keep a player’s base functioning through crafting or gathering resources.
SincePalworld’srelease, Pals have been compared frequently toPokemon, with many Pals being compared to specific Pokemon. With many Pals appearing similar to Pokemon, it’s easy to see how these Pokemon could fit withinPalworld.
9Flamigo
Flying/Fighting Type
Flamigois a generation 10 Pokemon based on the flamingo. Flamigo sports a bright pink appearance that is near identical to the animal. With various animals such as sheep, deer, birds, and boars featuring as Pals, Flamigo would be an exotic addition toPalworld. Flamigo could fit intoPalworldby appearing in hot weather areas near lakes, a perfect habitat for a flamingo.
InPokemon, Flamigo has adual typing of Flying and Fighting, although, inPalworld, neither of those types exist. InPalworld, Flamigo would be categorized as a Neutral type, fitting into the typing seamlessly.
8Cufant
Steel Type
Despite the lack of Steel types inPalworld,Cufantwould be the ideal Pokemon to fit into the game. Cufant’s design heavily resembles an elephant, specifically a young calf. Cufant appears similar to Pals such as Mammorest, who belong to the same animal family. With Steel types not featured inPalworld, Cufant would be placed under another typing, with Ground being an ideal alternative.
Due to its original Steel typing and prospective Ground typing, Cufant’sspawn location would likely be near mining oresaround the map, perfectly encapsulating Cufant’s habitat.
7Rowlet
Grass/Flying Type
In modernPokemongames,Rowlethas emerged as a fan favorite among the recent generations. Introduced in Generation 7, Rowlet has become popular due to its cute and cozy owl design. Another factor in Rowlet’s popularity is that it is one of the three starter Pokemon available inPokemon Sun and Moon.
Rowlet can effortlessly fit intoPalworlddue to its unique design. However, Rowlet’s typingwould need to be adjusted to either a Grass or Neutral typedue to Flying types not being included inPalworld.
6Noivern
Flying/Dragon Type
Hailing fromPokemon X and Y,Noivernis a Flying and Dragon type Pokemon that is among the most popular from Generation 6. Noivern’s appearance resembles a bat, which makes it a perfect choice to be featured inPalworld, with the Pokemon’s bat-like features making it ideal to be added to the list of Pals that are only available at nighttime.
WithFlying types not appearing inPalworld, Noivern can be converted solely to a Dragon type. However, with its design depicting a bat, Noivern could be adapted to a dual Dark and Dragon typing quite easily.
5Zoroark
Dark Type
The fox PokemonZoroarkis known to be a strong and popular Pokemon that debuted inPokemon Black and White. With many Pals spawning at night due to their dark esthetics, Pokemon such as Zoroark, which encapsulate darkness, would fit perfectly intoPalworld’sopen-world system.
AsDark types are still relevantinPalworld, Zoroark’s typing would not need to be adjusted to a new type. Due to Zoroark being a strong offense-based Pokemon, it could be used as an offensive Pal when battling challenging bosses, Alpha Pals, or when clearing a dungeon.
4Aipom
Normal Type
AlthoughPalworldutilizes monkey Pals such as Tanzee, a monkey Pokemon likeAipomcould easily pass as a Pal. Being a Normal type, Aipom is a Pokemon known more for its appearance and style than for its battling abilities. Aipom’s behavior and attitude make it a Pokemon that would excel inPalworlddue to its abilityto access or gather resources through its monkey traits.
Aipom could be a helpful Pal when stationed in a base, with cutting down trees and gaining wood being its primary function when utilized.
3Ampharos
Electric Type
The Electric-type PokemonAmpharosis one of the many Pokemon from the Johto region that could be a Pal inPalworld. Despite the Pal Relaxaurus Lux appearing similar to Ampharos, the Pokemon would be an ideal mid-game Pal to use in battle, with Electric-type Pals being more scarce than other types.
Besides Ampharos being a formidable force in battle due to its thunderous attacks, becasue of its Electric typing, Ampharos could be ahelpful addition in powering bases using electricity.
2Sableye
Dark/Ghost Type
AlthoughSableyemay not be the most popular Pokemon from Generation 3, it would be an ideal Dark type that could fit intoPalworld. Sableye’s haunting appearance, jeweled eyes, and unusual stance make the Pokemon ideal for appearing inspecific locations during the nighttime. As Sableye is often found in caves inPokemon, Sableye could be seen in dungeons alongside Pals such as Mau, who shares Sableye’s aura and themes of darkness.
Despite the ominous vibes, Sableye fits the billing of being a handy helper that can aid the development of a base, making it a potentially valuable Pal.
1Squirtle
Water Type
As one of the first three starters inPokemonhistory,Squirtlehas become one of the faces of the franchise alongside Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Charmander inboth the games and the anime. The thought of Squirtle appearing inPalworldmay be unusual for many, but the water turtle would be able to fit seamlessly into the game, especially if integrated as a Pal found in early areas.
The lack of water types early on in starting areas would make these the best areas to integrate Squirtle. As a captured pal, the sheer presence of Squirtle at a player’s base would make the atmosphere more joyful and friendly.
