With this being the case, PUBG Corp. and the Chinese publisher Tencent have now made the title available on iOS and Android devices in “many” regions around the world, including the United States.

For those unaware,PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundswas already available in this iteration in Asia for quite some time, and then the title made its way to Canada last week, so its release for iOS and Android in the US will surely please those living stateside who exclusively game on mobile devices. Interested parties would do well to note that mobilePUBGis similar in construction to the original PC build, as the battle royale-styled gameplay remains intact, but fans will only have access to the first map.

All things considered, it will be interesting to see how wellPlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsfor mobile fares in the marketplace againstFortnite’s mobile version, especially since the former title now has the edge on the latter by releasing an Android port, which the Epic Games-developed release currently lacks.PUBGis already thethird-highest grossing Steam game, so it stands to reason that the battle royale title will rake in even more revenue with its mobile ports.
