Overwatchfans are a truly talented bunch, as the game’s community is constantly creating fan art and cosplay based on its heroes. OneOverwatchfan has done something a bit different, however, creating a propaganda poster for the titular group.
While the concept of a recruitment poster is certainly unique, it is not the only time that fans have created some in-universe artwork. A few months back, a clever player came up with a series ofOverwatchmagazine coversthat each focused on a different hero. Each featured an article title that highlighted the character’s backstory, and the magazines surely would surely be some required reading for those inside the world ofOverwatch. While stories about the heroes would certainly make sense in-universe, so too would posters that advertise the group’s purpose.

TheOverwatchfan artposted by Redditor Uber_Ober is full of bright colors and little details for fans to appreciate. At the top of the image, an iconic quote fromOverwatch’s mascot Tracer can be seen, with the time traveling hero telling people that the world could use more heroes. The quote is surrounded by a text bubble that comes down to Tracer’s mouth, making it look like she is saying the phrase. The minimalist style of Tracer’s design was a great call by the artist, as though she has no eyes beneath her goggles, the character looks great.
The salutingTraceris given a blue attire as opposed to her trademark orange, as that color is instead used to create an eye-catching backdrop for the image. The bottom left of the poster highlights who Overwatch is looking for, with scientists, mercenaries, adventurers, and engineers all able to provide their services to help people around the world. TheOverwatchlogo is seen in the other corner, with the poster doing a fine job of highlighting how the group is focused on the greater good.
An “enlist today” message can be seen too, with this red text standing out from the other colors on the poster. It is also found above the head of a small drawing of Jack Morrison, AKASoldier 76. Given that Jack is shown, it can be assumed that this poster was going around prior to the fall of Overwatch as opposed to when the group reunites inOverwatch 2. A neat touch sees Morrison connecting to Tracer’s arm, helping two characters blend together naturally. With the image looking like something that would actually exist in theOverwatchuniverse, Uber_Ober deserves the praise that they are getting.
WithOverwatchorganizations like Talonneeding to recruit as well, it would be interesting to see more posters in a similar style. Regardless, there is a lot to love about this fan’s hard work, as it stands out clearly from otherOverwatchfan art.
