From showcasing her fearsome strength, Big Mom, Captain of the Big Mom pirates, andYonko of the sea, is one of the series’ most notable villains. Her Soul-Soul devil fruit, together with the fact that she exudes an overwhelming presence and moves like a giant, makes her an extremely dangerous opponent in any fight. Both the Wano Country arc, in which she is a key character, and the Whole Cake Island arc, in which she is the main antagonist, feature Big Mom’s villainous antics.

Big Mom, like the vast majority of villains, was once a lovable and kind young girl. Not only were her parents not giants, but they also abandoned her on Elbaf. She lucked out when Mother Carmel took her in because Big Mom didn’t know that Mother Carmel was a human trafficker. She never meant any harm, but her massive frame made even the gentlest touches painful.

Doflamingo is someone to be feared due to his history as a former world lord and the Captain of the Donxquiote Pirates. He is a major antagonist in the seriesbecause he is responsible for the deaths of Donxquiote Homing and his brother, Rosinante, and because he illegally ascended to the throne of Dressrosa. He slaughtered his family because he felt betrayed by them, and he used his position as Warlord of the Sea to blackmail King Riku Doldo into abdicating his throne and making Dresrossa hostage to his supremacy. Doflamingo also facilitated the underground trade of artificial devil fruits, also known as SMILE, for Kaido.

Doflamingo may be a terrifying villain, yet he was raised in an uncaring environment. He suffered because his father renounced their status as world nobles and wanted them to live among the citizens they ruled over. The citizens resented them, burnt their house down, and attempted to lynch him, his father, and his brother. This memory was etched in his mind and contributed to his growth as a villain.
