Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotrecently revealed thatGoten and (Kid) Trunks(along with another individual) would serve as support characters when the game released. Bandai Namco presented the information in a V-jump that leaked to the internet only a few days ago.
The scan featured an abundance of screenshots showing off the new supports, along with a few other things. Since then, however, Bandai Namco has rereleased the screenshots in higher quality and introduced two new ones to go along with them.

The new shots focus on Gohan, Goten, and Trunks working together to bring some pain to their enemies. The first displays Gohan and Goten blasting an unfortunate individual with Kamehameha waves. Gohan shots the enemy from one direction while Goten hits them from another. Officially,Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotwon’t feature any of the series' movie content, but this image comes off a bit like an homage to the Bros. Kamehameha wave used against Broly.
Whoever is on the receiving end of what’s happening in the second image is more unlucky than the individual from the first. In this one,Gohan and Goten team up once again, but now their surrogate brother, Trunks has also joined the beatdown. The three of them hover and prepare energy attacks with Gohan and Goten using their Kamehameha and Trunks using a basic Energy Wave (its weird that Vegeta hadn’t taught him Galick Gun by this point). The angle of the image almost makes this joint effort seem like a team attack with its very own cinematic.

These shots come from Bandai Namco US' official Facebook page. Those looking to check out only the new images can do so directly below, and anyone looking to revisit all the shots in higher quality can check out the link directly below the new ones.
Since these shots useUltimate Gohan, they likely take place during the fight with Super Buu. It looks like whoever is being attacked in the first screenshot has a pink aura, so that adds credence to the idea.
However, Goten and Trunks didn’t canonically help Ultimate Gohan fight Super Buu, so maybe this happens during some side quest that Ultimate Gohan can participate in. On the other hand,Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotwill allow players to revive old villains with the Dragon Balls, so the images really could display a fight with Super Buu, just one outside the primary storyline.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotreleases August 02, 2025, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
