Naughty Dogis working on a new AAA game alongside PlayStation Studios Visual Arts, sending fans into speculation over what this title may be. Naughty Dog is one of the most well-known developers of PlayStation exclusive games, having created both the extremely successfulUnchartedandThe Last of Usfranchises. Most recently, Naughty Dog worked on the release ofThe Last of Us: Part 1, a full remake of the 2013 game, andUncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collectionhas just released on PC.

While theUncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collectionmay not have had the same reception on PC as other PlayStation exclusives, the game has still been well received by critics and fans, again showing the prestige of Naughty Dog within the industry. ConsideringNaughty Dog’s reputation, it isn’t necessarily surprising that many gamers are anticipating what’s going to come next from the studio, whether it be a continuation of Ellie’s story in a sequel toThe Last of Us: Part 2,anotherUnchartedgame, or something else entirely.

Now, thanks to a new job listing spotted by Push Square, fans may have a bit more of an idea about whatNaughty Dogis currently working on. The job listing is for a Senior Producer working as part of PSS Visual Arts, a production group that some may be familiar with due to its work onThe Last of Us: Part 1. According to the listing, the prospective employee at PlayStation will be working on a “high visibility” project in a collaboration between Naughty Dog and PSS Visual Arts. This project doesn’t have a name yet, but the listing states it has a “clear vision and plan to release.”

Considering the last time these two teamed up was to work onThe Last of Us: Part 1, some fans have joked they could be seeing a remake ofThe Last of Us: Part 2. Even while this is mostly a joke from gamers, it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise considering Sony’s fondness for remakes as of late. Recently, it was reported that the 2017 titleHorizon Zero Dawncould be getting a remake, meaning that a new version ofThe Last of Us: Part 2isn’t necessarily out of the question.

However, this would likely prove to be a controversial choice, consideringThe Last of Us: Part 2just received a PS5 patch that increased its performance in 2021, so a remake coming soon would be deemed unnecessary by many fans. A lot of gamers would like to see something new from the studio, such as the sci-fi game that’s reported to be in development or even areturn toUnchartedfor Naughty Dog, something that the developer has said it is also interested in.
