Infinity Ward has added a new playlist to its gameCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, titled Dirty Old House Boat. The name for the playlist references each of the three maps which it’s comprised of, the “Dirty Old” part of the name referencing Rust, the word “House” forModern Warfare’soriginal map, Shoot House, and “Boat” for Shipment, since it takes place in a shipyard.
This playlist isn’t completely brand new though, as it’s actually just a simple change to an existing playlist called Flotation Oxidation. Dirty Old House Boat adds Shoot House into the mix, which was previously made up ofthe classic map Rustand fellow classic, Shipment.

For players who enjoyed the prior Flotation Oxidation playlist, Shoot House shouldn’t feel too out of place. Both Rust and Shipment are both extremely small, fast-paced maps built for players to constantly run into one another. Shoot House, also a notably quick map, only makes sense as yet another hectic addition to an already exceedingly hectic playlist. Players who use a run and gun sort of playstyle and enjoy the morewild moments ofCall of Dutyshould feel right at home, though this playlist might not be a favorite for anyone looking for more tactical, cover based gameplay.
Dirty Old House Boat is very similar to another playlist which gained a lot of popularity amongModern Warfare’scommunity, calledShoot the Ship, which was made up of Shoot House and Shipment. While many fans of Shoot the Ship are glad to see Shoot House and Shipment returning to the same playlist, some are less excited due to the inclusion of Rust. However, for players who enjoyed Shoot the Ship and also like playing on Rust, this might seem like one of the best playlists Infinity Ward has made so far.
On the other hand, players hoping for a 24/7 Shipment playlist, a phenomenal way tolevel up fast inModern Warfare, might not be quite happy with Dirty Old Boat House. For players looking to spend more time on Shipment, unfortunately, the introduction of Shoot House will almost certainly make finding games of Shipment harder than it was on Flotation Oxidation.
Nonetheless, the addition of Shoot Houseseems a smart map choice, considering the fast-paced combat already present in Flotation Oxidation’s maps. While no playlist will likely ever satisfy the entirety ofModern Warfare’scommunity, this will hopefully please the majority.
