The second half ofLost Ark’sArk of ArroganceYorn-based Abyssal Dungeon, the Forge of Fallen Pride,is a bit of an odd case. Frankly, it’s less mechanically complex than the level before it, the Road of Lament, and it’s arguably even easier than the Abyss Dungeon before it, the Phantom Palace.Still, this actually makes it more enjoyable,as this minimum 840 Item Level Abyssal Dungeonis quick to farm for that sweet chunk of Gold gain per week.Lost Arkplayers should expect to fight two bosses in this Dungeon, Amaus The Steel Floor and Kaishur of the Ancient Furnace. Here’s what players should know before diving in.
Quick Refresher Guide
Unlike other Abyssal Dungeons, the Forge of Fallen Pride really isn’t one that many players tend to look up for a mechanic refresher. That said, because it’s one of the simpler Dungeons, it’s easy to sum up in a few short words. So, for those who aren’t interested in reading the full in-depth guide, here are the core aspects to know.
The Forge of Fallen Pride has four sections: a short mob-clear, the Amaus fight, a longer mob-clear than ends with a fight against two Elite Elementals, and the final fight against Kaishur. The first boss, Amaus, is incredibly simple. When players see the gigantic red circle around them, get away from the rest of the party until the circle explodes, then head back to Amaus. Additionally, when Amaus summons its Wyverns, focus on killing them as fast as possible before switching back to Amaus.

The second Boss, Kaishur, is even more simplistic in its mechanics, though it does have a Wipe mechanic. When Kaishur summons a white and red clone (and a message pops up on screen), keep a close eye on Kaishur’s raised hand. He’ll summon either a red or white orb and send out a shockwave of the same color (that deals no damage).Kill the clone of that color ASAP and stand in the aura it leaves behind.Kaishur will unleash its Wipe attack, but the party will be invincible if they killed the right clone and stand in the correct aura. Kaishur also has a basic Stagger Check as well as a Counter-Attack mechanic. The Stagger Check is as common sense as it gets, and all players need to know about the Counter Attack is tostop attacking when Kaishur has a bright red shield around him.
There really aren’t any Consumables that are worth using up in this Abyssal Dungeon, but if players are struggling, things likePanaceasandTaunting Scarecrowsshould help.

First Section: Defeat Ugo’s Minions
Similar to the first part of Road of Lament, the intro section of the Forge of Fallen Pride is a pretty basic mob-clearing section. It’s a relatively short area where players clear out “Ugo’s Minions” before heading into the first boss of the Dungeon, Amaus.
Second Section: Amaus, The Steel Floor
The simplest of all the bosses in the Ark of Arrogance, Amaus, is about as basic as they come. There are two gimmicks the party has to pay attention to: hisExplosive Aurasand hisSummoned Wyverns. However, neither of these mechanics requires any real memorization.
Explosive Auras
At random points throughout his entire fight, Amaus will apply these Auras randomly. Essentially, he’ll put these gigantic red circles around a player, as well as red orbs above their head. As soon asthree of these red orbs appear, the Aura explodes, dealing no damage to the player with the Aura, but quite a bit of damage to anyone else standing in it. To avoid this, parties usually just haveany members with the Aura run to the opposite side of the arena from Amaus until it explodes, and then they can rejoin the fight.

Summoned Wyverns
At two points throughout the fight (when Amaus reaches his 8th and 4th remaining HP Bar), the Boss will summon two Wyverns (four total) to come down and join in on the battle. These Wyverns have a variety of their own moves, most of which apply stacks of the Burn Debuff. But in all honesty, their damage is pretty negligible.
Still, players should take them out ASAP becuase they grant a buff to Amaus after being alive for a certain amount of time. This buffincreasesAmaus' Defense, Attack Speed, and Movement Speed, making an easy fight much more annoying. As soon as these Wyverns spawn, the party should switch focus to them until they’re dead.

Regular Attacks
In addition to these gimmicks, Amaus has a decent number of different attacks he uses. Most players likely won’t see more than a few of them, considering how easy he is to kill, but in case they want to be extra careful, here’s how they work:
Description
Sword Stab Combo
Amaus picks a random player and stabs them with his sword three times, with a small interval between each stab. Each stab staggers and does low damage, but the final stab has a large hitbox and knocks up on-hit.
Leaping Slam
The Boss braces himself, then jumps off-screen straight up. After about a second, he comes back down and slams onto the ground, creating an arena-wide red telegraph with a ring-shaped safe zone a few steps away from his landing point.
Spinning Blades
Amaus summons three spinning variants of his sword and sends them forward in a claw-shaped formation in front of him. These blades fly forward a fair distance before returning to Amaus, flying a bit behind him before disappearing. Be aware that on return, these swords can hit a player attacking Amaus' backside. On-hit, the swords deal mediocre damage, but apply a stack of Burn as well.
Jumping Slash
Amaus performs a basic jumping vertical slash with his sword towards a random player.
Imprison Chain
The Boss has a brief windup before quickly throwing a chain towards a player he’s facing. If it hits them, they’re imprisoned, and must be auto-attacked by their allies to get out early.
Falling Swords
Amaus creates three parallel red telegraph lines on the ground that quickly disappear. Directly afterward, a torrent of blades starts falling from the sky and stabbing into the ground, following the path of the red telegraphs. The blades start closer to Amaus and slowly make their way to the end of where the red telegraph appeared.
Third Section: Defeating The Demons Guarding The Road
After a nice, leisurely elevator ride, the party is then taken to another lava-filled area where they must clear out any mobs in the vicinity. Again, this is an easy section of the Dungeon with a few jumps and a final fight against some Ancient Guardian Constructs. It should be smooth sailing all the way through.
Fourth & Last Section: Kaishur of the Ancient Furnace
Finally, players have made it to the last boss of the Ark of Arrogance Abyssal Dungeons, and he’s…also suprisingly easy.Kaishur is in a bit of an odd place, because lore-wise,he should be the culmination of all the fights before him, but in all actuality he’s not even as hard as Kyzra was. Players really just have to pay attention to three things: hisClone Summon Wipe Mechanic,theCounter-Attack Shieldhe summons, and hisStagger Check.
Clone Summon Wipe
This is the primary mechanic players will need to watch for in their battle against Kaishur, and it will always happen at his 16th and 8th HP Bars. When he reaches either of these two HP triggers,Kaishur will move to the middle of the arena and summon two Clones, one red and one white, on either side of him.Like with the Necromancer Sigmund in the Ancient Elveria Abyssal Dungeon,Kaishur will unleash either a red or white shockwave of energy when summoning these clones. This tells the party which one they’ll need to kill.

Players can also look at the small orb in Kaishur’s hand to figure out which color of clone they need to beat. Once the correct clone is identified, the whole party needs to kill it as quickly as possible.Upon death, the clone places an aura on the ground where it falls, and the entire party needs to stand in this aura. After about thirty seconds or so, Kaishur releases the Wipe attack. If the party was standing in the correct aura, it will do nothing to them, and the fight continues.
A few important factors to note:
Counter-Attack Shield
This mechanic isn’t as complex as the Summoned Clones, but it can wipe a careless party if they’re not careful, depending on their current HP and Item Level. Kaishur has a chance to use this defensive manuever sporadically throughout the fight (usually only once) where he’ll summon a red “shield” around him. As soon as this Shield is summoned, all party members need to stop attacking. If Kaishur reaches a certain amount of hits/damage while this Shield is active, he’ll use an arena-wide Counter-Attack that deals high damage to everyone.
Wait until the Shield disappears naturally, and continue the fight. Classes with lingering damage or skills that actually hit a few seconds after casting, such as the Artillerist, need to be careful of their attacks until after Kaishur has used this move.

Important Mechanic: Stagger Check
Just like most of the other “big” Abyssal Dungeon bosses, Kaishur has a Stagger Check. Thankfully, unlike bossessuch as Punika’s Albionin Oreha’s Well orBrelshaza in the Phantom Palace, failing this Stagger Check doesn’t lead to a massive buff or party Wipe, but it does deal high damage.
Kaishur can trigger his Stagger Check at any point in his fight,so keep an eye out for when that orange bar appears underneath him. Get ready to use any and all Stagger Skills to drain it ASAP.

Again, Kaishur is one of those Bosses whose full repertoire players likely won’t see. His HP is low enough that players can usually DPS-race him into the Summoned Clones Wipe Mechanic, then burst him down again. But for those who want to be extra cautious, let’s go over all his basic attacks.Like the Phantom Legion King,Kaishur has a lot of sword-based moves. Here’s how they all work:
Energy Waves
Kaishur fires horizontal energy waves from his sword at a random player, usually two in a row, that deal a decent amount of damage to anyone they pass through.
Clone Energy Waves
In this variation of the Energy Waves attack, Kaishur summons two clones at random spots in the Arena to fire several Energy Waves at the player at the same time. It’s much more dangerous than the default variation.
Summoned Lightning
This attack has two different variations. In the first and most common, Kaishur summons five different Lightning strikes to continuously proc around him, dealing constant damage to anyone standing within them. The second variation has the Boss summoning these Lightning hazards randomly around the arena.
Stinger
Kaishur puts a larger red telegraph line on the ground that slowly fills. Once filled, he charges forward, sword outstretched, knocking back anyone in his path. Near the end of the fight he can use an upgraded variation of this attack where he sends out ephemeral versions of his sword in a fan-like pattern when using the Stinger as well.
Retreating Jump
The Boss jumps backward to avoid the incoming player attacks. Later in the fight, this backward jump is also followed by a Clone sending multiple Energy Waves at Kaishur’s landing location, dealing moderate amounts of damage to anyone that followed him too closely.
Summoned Swords
Kaishur sends out more Ephermeral Swords in a circle around him before pulling them all back and targeting a random player on their return trajectory.
Clone Slashes
The Boss summons two Clones that immediately slash within the red telegraph and staggering on-hit. This attack has two variations — one with a telegraph directly on top of Kaishur, and one with two telegraphs, one above and one below him.
Recommended Consumables & Builds
The Forge of Fallen Pride doesn’t exactly warrant a ton of Consumable usage, but there are some helpful onesfor those who want to clear it as smoothly as possible.
