Season of the Deep is live inDestiny 2, and with it comes a brand-new Dungeon, Ghost of the Deep. Within this unique endgame experience lies a plethora of loot for Guardians to plunder, one of which is a brand new Stasis Rocket Launcher called Cold Comfort.

How To Get Cold Comfort
Put simply, to obtain the Cold Comfort Rocket Launcher, players will need to hop in andcomplete encounters in the Ghost of the Deep Dungeon. Luckily, the weapon drops from every encounter, including the final boss. However, this doesn’t make it necessarily easy to acquire the gun. That said, there are two methods players can use to try and farm the weapon quickly.
The first would be to simply farm the first encounter, the Hive Ritual, as it’s very straightforward and shouldn’t take too long to complete for most players. Players should use ad-clear weapons and builds to make this encounter quick and easy. Efficient teams can achieve this in less than ten minutes. It could be better, but it’s far more straightforward than the second method.
The second method is for more experienced players. Veteran teams can farm the first boss, Ecthar, as the loot pool is greatly diminished compared tothe Hive Ritual. On top of that, efficient Guardians can one-phase this boss, taking less than five minutes per run. This would be the fastest way to obtain the Cold Comfort Rocket Launcher.
Cold Comfort God Roll
In terms of God Rolls, with the right perks, this weapon has the potential to be one of the highest damaging heavy weapons inDestiny 2. That said, the God Roll players should be looking for is Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch.

Envious Assassin will overflow the magazine by defeating enemies beforehand. Meanwhile, Bait and Switch grants a 35% damage increase when the player damages an enemy with their other two weapons beforehand. This combo is fantastic for bosses, putting it on par with crafted or adept Rocket Launchers. There are already clips of players using this roll against Ecthar and one-phasing him easily. However, it’s more important to note that the weapon will also need the Impact Casing Barrel, as direct impacts will deal extra damage.
Overall, this is a must-have weapon going forward inDestiny 2’s Season of the Deep, and this gun will likely remain one of the best DPS weapons for the foreseeable future.
