While 2021 has a number of highly anticipated games set to launch throughout the next 12 months, IO Interactive is kicking things off withHitman 3. As the third and final installment of the World of Assassination trilogy of games, players once again step into the legendary shoes of Agent 47 as he travels around the globe to put astop to the mysterious group known as Providence. Gameplay continues to revolve around stealth and using the environment to perform hidden executions against certain targets.
Replayability continues to be a major element toHitman 3, as each stage has multiple ways to eliminate a target with new opportunities being uncovered simply by exploring. IO interactive has also confirmed theexistence of secret shortcuts hidden in each level. Finding these ladders, doors, and other pathways will be up to the player and can lead to new opportunities to complete the mission at hand. Better yet, once a shortcut has been found and opened, it will remain that way on repeated playthroughs to allow players to try different tactics and reward curiosity.

As with most big name games these days,Hitman 3has multiple special editions as well as a pre-order bonus for those who opt to put money down before launch. Here’s everything players need to know about each edition and what they get.
Hitman 3 Pre-order Bonuses
For those who want to reserve their copy, IO interactive is offering the pre-order bonus called the Trinity Pack. It features three outfits for Agent 47 each of a different color of Red, White, and Black. The stylish single color suits also come with a matching colored briefcase and weapon as well to complete the look. The suits represent a different game from the trilogy with White forHitman, Red forHitman 2, and Black forHitman 3. Each of the items also feature the classic Hitman insignia etched in gold as well.
Similar to other cross-generation games likeAssassin’s Creed ValhallaorCyberpunk 2077,Hitman 3also supports afree upgrade to a next generation version. So for instance, if someone buys the game on a PlayStation 4, they can download the PS5 version at no additional cost. This is true for Xbox players as well, asHitmanuses the Smart Delivery system so Xbox One purchases will also get the next-generation version for free.
Hitman 3 Editions
IO Interactive is introducing two different versions ofHitman 3. Interested players can pick from the standard version of the game as well as a Deluxe Edition which is a little more expensive though it comes with a collection of additional in-game content to utilize.
Hitman 3is also coming to the Nintendo Switch, though its release date is still to be determined and isn’t available for pre-order quite yet. TheSwitch is getting the Cloud Version, which indicates that this version is not only digital but is available through cloud streaming. Players will need to ensure they have a very strong WIFI connection for the best results.
At launch,Hitman 3is also an Epic Games Store exclusive that will eventually come to Steam. Thankfully, players will be able to transfer their data and progress over once the Steam version becomes available.

The Standard Edition comes with just the game as well as the Trinity Pack pre-order bonuses prior to release. After that, it’s just the game.

For those willing to spend a little bit more money, the deluxe edition comes with a whole host of digital goodies. In addition to the game and Trinity Pack, players will also get the special Deluxe Pack as well. Please note that the physical versions of the Deluxe Edition can only be purchased at Best Buy or Limited Run Games in the United States.
