AGenshin Impactfan has shared an impressive set of gauntlets that belong to the recently introduced Cryo user Wriothesley. He appeared on the previous double banner which arrived in the second part of version 4.1. This limited banner also featured the famous Anemo Archon Venti.
Genshin Impact’s official storyline has revealed that Wriothesley had to kill his abusive foster parents in order to save his adoptive siblings which is why he got sentenced and locked up in the Fortress of Meropide when he was young. However, he eventually managed to become the prison’s Administrator and made a series of improvements to the facility. This compelling story has made Wriothesley one of the fan-favorite characters in the Hydro nation.

A Reddit user by the name of futaricosplay has shared an impressive replica of Wriothesley’s iconic gauntlets. Fans really like the design as the post reached over 1.2k upvotes onGenshin Impact’s main subreddit with a lot of comments praising how realistic the replica looks. Many fans were curious about the materials used for the gauntlets, and the creator confirmed that they are made entirely of EVA foam. Redditor futaricosplay is known in the fan base for creating similar types of projects such as recreating Cyno’s headpiece andXiao’s Yaksha mask.
While the catalyst weapon type is usually used by characters who prefer to keep their distance from their enemies, Wriothesley actually prefers close combat, making the gauntlets the ideal choice. He was the first Cryo catalyst user to arrive in the game which means that Wriothesley is the only character at the moment who can apply Cryo elemental damage with his Normal Attacks.
