A newGenshin Impactbug has made the popular Hydro character Barbara one of the best choices for team compositions that focus a new Dendro elemental reaction named Bloom. She is one of the oldest characters in the game who made multiple appearances through previously limited banners.
Glitches have become very common in the world ofGenshin Impactand while some can be frustrating, most of them are actually harmless. to trigger Bloom, players need to combine Dendro and Hydro which will drop an explosive Dendro Cores around the field.

A popular leaker named hxg_diluc has revealed an interesting video showing Barbara triggering Bloom at a very rapid pace which seems unnatural. The team composition is made of the following characters: Barbara, Diona, Collei, andthe new version of the Traveler. This bug is possible due to a mechanic on Barbara’s elemental skill named Let The Show Begin, which summons a ring around the character that deals Hydro damage. Every time a new entity enters the skills AoE effect, the ring will do damage. However, the Dendro Cores that are dropped by Bloom also count as entities which means that they can also trigger the effect.
The ring applies Hydro every third hit which means that it enters an infinite loop in which Dendro Cores trigger Bloom and create more cores until the enemies are dead. While this bug makes Barbara one of, if not thestrongest support inGenshin Impact, it should be noted that there have to be at least three enemies within the reach of her ring effect. This new type of team composition could bring Barbara who is one of the least popular characters in the game, back into the meta.
There is a chance that this bug could become even stronger with new Dendro characters considering that its effect is only limited by the Dendro units in the team composition. Getting another Dendro user with a strong element application likeGenshin Impact’s Dendro Archoncould make this unique interaction even stronger. At the moment, players have to rely on Collei and the new Traveler to apply the new Dendro element on the field.
Even though the third availableDendro character known as Tighnari, has a higher five-star rarity, his kit is more focused on dealing damage than applying the new element on enemies. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that they would prefer if HoYoverse decides to keep this mechanic in the game since it’s very niche as this type of team composition works in very few scenarios, and it’s pretty much useless in boss domains.
