WhileFortniteis known for going to the extremes in promotion of its battle royale mode–game mascots began appearing in the real world at one point, for instance–its latest Asian promotion is more tame, but reliant upon another aspect of the entertainment industry. This time,Fortnitedeveloper Epic Games has signed a contract with Chris Pratt, the well-known actor who stars in both theGuardians of the Galaxyfranchise andAvengers: Infinity War.
Known for his role as Star-Lord, Chris Pratt is now appearing in some promotions for the widely popular battle royale game. He began his career in the year of 2002, and has also voiced a number of characters in games such asThe Lego Movie Video GameandLego Jurassic World. His popularity has also grown since taking on the role of Star-Lord, from which manyFortnitefans are likely to recognize the actor.

Of course, it’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Epic Games has worked with anAvengerscharacter, as the Season 4 Infinity Gauntlet limited-time Marvel crossover event sawantagonist Thanosappear in the battle royale mode for a short period of time. At any rate, check out the promotions below:
Sadly, this doesn’t really suggest another Marvel crossover event is coming to the game, as the contract is with the actor, and not the character. However, that won’t really stop people from imagining Chris Pratt is his iconic role as Star-Lord. Despite all of this,Fortniteitself is already full of in-game events such as the recently addedTeam Terror LTM.
It remains to be seen if these promotions will ever make their way stateside, but even if they did, a majority of players might not ever see them, as they will likely be busy diving into all that the game has to offer. TheSeason 6 Week 7 challenges, for example, have gone live, tasking players with everything from dealing damage to skydiving through floating rings. While the activities should be simple enough for most, they ought to provide diehard fans with plenty of fun.
Fortniteis available now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
