OnceThe Legend of Zelda: TotKplayers find their way to the quaintvillage of Kakarikoin the southeastern section of Hyrule, they can complete some side quests to help fill the shops with produce. By speaking to an NPC namedTrissaat theHigh Spirits Storeat the southern exit/entrance of the village, they can start the Codgers' Quarrel Side Quest, which then leads to another quest calledFollow the Cuccos. This guide will show players how to specifically complete the Cucco quest so the shop can restock itseggs.

Starting the Follow the Cuccos Quest in TotK
After players complete Trissa’s Codgers' Quarrel quest, they can speak to her once again tostart the Follow the Cuccos quest. Essentially,Bird Eggare still in short supply around Kakariko Village, so Trissa wants Link to find where the Cuccos are laying their eggs. Trissa tried to follow theiconic (and deadly)Zeldachickensbut was unfortunately too slow to keep up –that’s where Link comes in. Players must find andcollect ten eggsand bring them back to Trissa.
‘Follow the Cuccos’ Cave Location
After leaving the general store, players shouldsleep in a bed or use fire to pass the timeuntil the morning. Once morning rolls around, players can head to the east side of the village to see the Cuccos come together –follow them carefully to reach a cave embedded into the side of a mountain, which is calledCucco Hideaway. If players get too close to the birds, they will run away. However, players can just head to the cave itself without the Cucco’s help if they wish to do so.
The coordinates for the cave are 1877, -1143, 0195. Its location is marked on the map above.
Walk into the cave and collect at least ten eggs for Trissa.
Players can leave after doing so, but if players have aBomb Floweror a weapon fused with a rock/boulder, they can smash the breakable rocks to find another section of the cave home to a Bubbulfrog. Defeat it to earn a Bubbul Gem,which can be turned in to Koltin’s shopin exchange for a random monster part or armor piece.
Rewards for Completing Follow the Cuccos
Once theBird Eggare taken to Trissa, she will give Link50 Rupees, andBird Eggs will be available in the shopfor 12 Rupees each.Eggs can be used in a cooking pot to create disheslikeOmeletand crepes.
