Players won’t be able tofight the Mindflayerunless they haveanalyzed the four lifespringsin the Junon Region. These lifesprings can be found by following owls. In case players are having a hard time locating the lifesprings, they can take a look at the images below.
After you haveanalyzed all four lifesprings, Chadley will call you and reveal that there is a dangerous fiend in the region who goes bythe name of the Mindflayer.
How To Beat Mindflayer In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The Mindflayer’slocation will automatically pop up on the map after completingthe lifesprings in Junon. It is located near the Castaway Lifespring, which can be found toward the south of Junon. Before heading into the fight, remember to heal and check the equipment of your party members. Once you have reached the area, press and hold the Triangle button to start the fight.
The Mindflayeris a dangerous opponent, mainly because it does not have a major weakness. However, you canpressure itby using Synergy Abilities. These abilities can be used after you have used a character’s unique skills. Once you have accumulated enough Synergy Charge, unleash a Synergy Abilityto pressure and ultimately stagger the Mindflayer.
The recommended level for the fight is 26, so if you engagethe Mindflayerwhile being a few levels above it, things will be comparatively easier. If you are unable tobeat the Mindflayer, try to complete the side quests to gain a few levels and challenge the fiend once again.
