In partnership with Square Enix, Puma announcedFinal Fantasy 14is getting its own shoe line later this month in Japan.Final Fantasy 14fans will be able to purchase new Puma shoes featuring designs inspired by minions and artwork from Square Enix’s highly successful MMORPG.

Square Enix’sFinal Fantasy 14continues onward with new updates following the conclusion of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga in the Endwalker expansion.Final Fantasy 14patch 6.1 and beyond depicts the Warrior of Light’s post-Endwalker adventure as players work to discover secrets regarding the Void, a dark and dangerous realm that once thrived like the Source. Althoughthe nextFinal Fantasy 14expansionwill not release in 2023, players can expect more story content this year and a major graphical overhaul in patch 7.0. Moreover, brand-newFinal Fantasy 14merchandise is on the way including new shoes by renowned manufacturer Puma.

Square Enix and Puma unveiled the newFinal Fantasy 14shoe collection via Japanese website Sneaker Wars, which aggregates information about upcoming shoe releases in Japan. FourFinal Fantasy 14shoes will be sold with light and dark versions for approximately $125 each starting March 15. Two of the shoes are Puma Slipstream models, while the other two shoes are Puma RS-X models. Light versions feature bright white, blue, and green hues to symbolize the benevolent light of the Crystal. Dark versions of the new Puma shoes use mixes of black, purple, and pink hues to represent forces of darkness that are ever-present inthe world ofFinal Fantasy 14.

Puma Slipstream models of theFinal Fantasy 14shoes come with a Crystal charm and the signature “Meteor” mark that is commonly depicted in the game. Puma RS-X models feature a “Fat Cat” design on the shoe tongue, heel, and insole referencing one ofFinal Fantasy 14’sin-game minions. Puma has not confirmed an international release for the newFinal Fantasy 14shoe line, and the Japanese Puma online store currently does not support worldwide shipping.

These stunning new shoes by Puma would be a great addition to aFinal Fantasy 14fan’s collection of merchandise and apparel. However, the lack of an international release may be disappointing for fans that don’t live in Japan.Final Fantasy 14has a massive playerbaseoutside of Japan, so the demand forFinal Fantasy 14apparel and merchandise certainly exists in other markets.

Puma may consider releasing the newFinal Fantasy 14shoes in major markets outside of Japan if there’s enough demand from fans. Those eager to purchase the new shoes may have to search for online resellers if Puma decides to exclusively sell the new line in Japan.
