Releasing worldwide yesterday,Elden Ringhas seen some stellar reviews, making it one of the highest rated games of all time even before many were able to get their hands on it. Citing an incredible open world, challenging combat and more, many reviewers have givenElden Ringthe highest rating available. However, now that the game is in the hands of players rather than just reviewers, some are pointing out some problems with the game.

PC performance is always a tricky thing to get right, as so many PC players rely on different hardware to get games running.Elden RingPC players though are having struggles no matter what hardware they’re running. According to one Reddit post, even specs as high as an RTX 3080 are struggling to run the game past 40-50 FPS. This has been a frustrating thing for many PC players who often spend the extra money required for a high-end gaming PC to see performance that is better than a console.
Despitepatch 1.02 being released forElden Ringin the hopes of improving performance and fixing bugs, PC players are still struggling to run the game. As usual, online communities facing similar issues can be extremely useful for a gamer experiencing issues with performance. TheElden Ringcommunity is currently recommending that players who are unsatisfied with their performance on PC to force eldenring.exe to run in high performance mode through Windows. Others are reporting that switching the power plan in Windows settings to balanced can help as well.
These fixes do not work for everyone though, and much of the PC community is left feeling frustrated as they wait forElden Ringto be better optimized for the platform. Some other PC players though are having little to no problems runningElden Ring,and have decided that the game itself is at fault rather than people’s machines. DespitePC players reportedly being able to playElden Ringearlier than consoleplayers, some are left unable to play the gameat all.
