Today’s Xbox Showcase featured over 60 games coming to Xbox including 20 indie games that will release on Game Pass first day. Along with announcing many indie games coming to Game Pass, Xbox has also revealed an Xbox title coming to Game Pass at the end of April. During theID@Xbox Showcase, a trailer revealed the three-player co-op dinsaur shooter gameSecond Extinctionwill be hitting Game Pass on April 28.
Developed by Systemic Reaction and Avalanche Studios,Second Extinctionfeatures three-person teams taking on a variety of missions that will test players against mutated dinosaurs on large-scale maps. Players will complete different mission objectives, all while facing threats of dinosaurs in different areas. Teamwork is important, so players can grab two friends and jump into the fast-paced combat against dinosaurs.

WithSecond Extinctioncoming toXbox Game Pass, the community in the title is expected to grow, possibly meaning that the game will receive more content as it transitions from early access to a full game release. InSecond Extinction, the community’s efforts towards eliminating mutated dinosaurs is dynamic, meaning that the war against the dinosaurs will be ever-changing in the future, depending on how the community takes action.
Second Extinctionfirst released on PC in October of 2020, and now will release on Xbox platforms. Previously,Second Extinctionwas scheduled to release on Xbox as a part ofXbox Game Previewas an early access game before its full release. Now, the title will debut on Xbox as a part of Xbox Game Pass, which may be very exciting for the game service’s owners.Second Extinctionhas also been optimized for the Xbox Series X/S, so owners of the newest consoles will experience the dinosaur-slaying action with faster load times and framerates up to 120 per second.
