One of the most exciting aspects of the Spiritborn is that it’s a never-before-seen class being added to theDiablofranchise.Classes exclusive to theDiablogameshave offered some of the most compelling characters to play, and the Spritborn sets out to continue this series tradition. From the Blood Knight to Amazons, there have been some fascinating classes created specifically forDiablo, and ifVessel of Hatred’s follow-up doesn’t offer something as unique as the Spiritborn, it could fail to meet expectations.
There are currently five classes forDiablo 4players to choose from that are essential to RPGs. Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer are the current optionsbefore the Spiritborn becomes available. Of course, this handful of options can be fun to play, but Spiritborn being exclusively crafted forDiablo’s world automatically makes it intriguing. One of the few waysDiablo 4’s next potential DLC could meet the same heights as a special class is by adding a beloved class, like Paladin.
Even if a Paladin option was added toDiablo 4, it still runs the risk of not feeling as special due to its familiarity with a lot of players. The Spiritborn’s abilities may not be known at the moment, but it’s clear that the class type has been inspired by ancient Aztec culture and its Jaguar Warriors.Diablo 4aims to upgrade gameplayin a variety of ways, and the Spriritborn class could become one of the biggest improvements, thanks to the class type’s unique inspiration.
The Aztec Jaguar Warriors were an elite military class who wore custom clothing that was made to resemble a jaguar pelt. The Spiritborn class uses this same jaguar-inspired clothing.
Future Expansions After Vessel of Hatred
There currently isn’t any information about another DLC being in the works afterVessel of Hatred. However, ifDiablo 4gets a second expansion, there is still the possibility that Blizzard could surprise players and once again craft a brand new class type to add to the mix.Crafting one’s own character inDiablo 4can really bring the game to life, and it will be exciting to see how players are able to use the Spiritborn to their advantage. Still, with how unique the Spiritborn looks, it will be very tough to top.
AsDiablo 4continues to evolve, it will be fascinating to see whatVessel of Hatred’s story has in store. The new location of Nahantu mixed with a fresh class type that is native to the area is thrilling enough, but Mephisto’s impending hold on Neyrelle promises a harrowing story arc on the horizon.Vessel of Hatred’s trailer showcased a violent and terrifying road ahead, and it will be fun to see how the Spiritborn plays into the narrative when the DLC releases on October 8.
