At E3 2018,Cyberpunk 2077developer CD Projekt RED showed off abrand new trailerfor the game, getting fans all over the world excited for the sci-fi RPG. But that’s not all that the developer had to share during the event, having also held a behind closed door session for members of the media to take a look at gameplay footage.
The latest details from this session to go public come from theCyberpunk 2077information booklet that CD Projekt RED handed out to those in attendance. Among other things, the booklet offers up details about theCyberpunk 2077setting of Night City. The neon-tinged location is split into six different districts, including the City Center, the Heywood suburbs, the industrial area of Santa Domingo, the fancy district of Westbrook, Watson which has a significant immigrant population, and Pacifica which is controlled by gangs.

As for what players will be getting up to in these districts, CD Projekt RED reveals that Night City has been designed for vertical exploration, though players will be able to travel by car and motorcycles. The developer also says that Maelstrom is one of the major gangs in the Watson district and its leader is named Royce. Details about Royce and his gang are scant at the moment, but Maelstrom is reportedly a combat gang - gangs that spend a lot of time fighting each other, but are relentless when they declare war on someone.
Impressively, despiteCyberpunk 2077featuring several very different districts with lots of very interesting characters, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the gamewon’t feature any loading screens. This means that players won’t be left waiting as they hop from the factories of Santa Domingo to murky spots in Pacifica or the suburban tranquility of Heywood.
This will help the sci-fi RPG to feel incredibly immersive and will allow players to enjoy the game without having to wait around. However, the fact thatCyberpunk 2077will be able to offer all of this at such a high level of quality is perhapswhy the game is taking so long to develop. CD Projekt RED has previously said that the reason it kept quiet on the game for so long and why it left so long between trailers is that it wanted things to be ready, also saying that quality is what drives its work. Perfectionism will hopefully mean that the game plays great, but it means that fans may have to wait some time to play it.
Cyberpunk 2077is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but lacks an official launch date.
