Call of Duty: Modern Warfareadds new weapons on a regular basis, and it’s expected that the upcoming Season 4 will include some fresh weaponry as well. However, it appears as though one of the new weapons coming toCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 4 has been leaked, with some players actually able to obtain the new gun in-game.
While attempting to play a game ofInfected multiplayer, aCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayer suddenly found themselves in possession of an SMG that hasn’t actually been released in the game yet. Footage of the newCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 4 SMG has been posted online, though it’s clear that the gun isn’t completely finished. It’s unclear exactly what the name of the SMG is, but right now its called SM_CHARLIE9 in-game.

As noted by Dexerto, there are a number of details about the leakedModern WarfareSeason 4 SMGthat players can gleam from the footage of it online. For one, it holds 30 rounds per clip, and secondly, it’s loaded with 9mm Parabellum rounds. The newModern WarfareSeason 4 SMG also has a very fast reload speed when compared to other SMGs that players can unlock in the game.
While it seems as though the most likely scenario is that this new SMG is coming toCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 4, we can’t rule out the possibility that it could be released for Season 3 instead. After all,Modern WarfareSeason 3 is still ongoing, and while this SMG is nowhere to be seen on theSeason 3 road map, Infinity Ward has been known to release surprise content in the past.
If this SMG truly is coming toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarein Season 4, it will be interesting to see if it will be added as part of theBattle Passor if it comes later on in the season. Typically, Infinity Ward has released a couple of new weapons as part of theModern WarfareBattle Pass in any given season, with other new weapons added later on, as was the case with theBruen MK9 LMG. Whenever Infinity Ward adds a weapon outside of the Battle Pass,Modern Warfareplayers can usually unlock it either by completing challenges in-game or through microtransactions.
