If there’s one thing gamers can count on every year, it’s a newCall of Dutygame, and 2021 is no different. Activision has already confirmed a newCall of Dutygame for 2021, developed primarily by Sledgehammer Games, though further details on what it will entail have not been revealed in an official capacity. While Activision itself has yet to reveal more information on the nextCall of Dutygame, it seems its logo and potential title have leaked online.
Battle.net, Blizzard’s online multiplayer service that hosts theCall of Dutygames on PC, is now referring toCall of Duty 2021asCall of Duty: Slipstream. Now, it’s entirely possible that this logo is a placeholder and that the game’s title will actually be something very different.Slipstreamcould be a codename for thenewCall of Dutygame, as opposed to the name that will actually appear on the box when it hits store shelves.

Prior to this leak, the general consensus was that the newCall of Dutygame would betitledCall of Duty: Vanguard. It’s supposedly set during World War 2, though leakers have suggested that parts of the game may actually take place during later time periods as well. Nothing has been confirmed at the time of this writing, though, so fans should take any information aboutCall of Duty 2021with a grain of salt for now.
As for when fans will get to learn aboutCall of Duty 2021in an official capacity, that remains to be seen. It’s believed that theCall of Duty: Warzonebattle royalewill be used to reveal the newCall of Dutygame, similarly to how it was used to showcaseCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, so fans should expect the reveal to take place at some point later this summer. Alternatively, there’s a rumored PlayStation event whereCall of Duty: Slipstream, or whatever it ends up being called, could make an appearance.
A PlayStation State of Play event is rumored to be taking place on July 8, where Sony will showcase a variety of upcoming titles for PS4 and PS5. There’s some legitimate evidence suggesting that the rumored State of Play could indeed be the real deal, though Sony has not made any announcements just yet. SinceCall of Dutyand PlayStation have been close partnersthese last few years, it would make sense for the new game to be featured at the State of Play.
All of this is just speculation for now. TheCall of Duty 2021revealshould take place within the next couple of months, so the speculation should be put to rest sooner rather than later.
Call of Duty: Slipstreamis in development for unspecified platforms.
