Rockstar Games is once again dominating headlines after confirming thatGrand Theft Auto 6is currently in development this past week. The revelation has prompted a wave of questions about Rockstar’s other franchises and whether the studio has any plans beyondGrand Theft Autoin its future. Most prominent of late are rumors of a mysteriousBullyproject. Rockstar’sGrand Theft Auto 6confirmationwould seemingly put those rumors to bed, but one leaker is reaffirming the rumor’s legitimacy.Tom Henderson, a now prominent leaker, is the main source for a rumor surrounding the existence of aBullysequel being in development. The supposed leak has received a lot of heat, however, given the lack of substantiated evidence since the revelation. The new comments from Henderson are a step back from what he’s said previously. He now describes it as something going on withBully, rather than explicitly stating he believesBully 2is in development. That could mean that Henderson is no longer confident in what he’s heard, or he could just be trying to avoid any more wild speculation.
ABully-related project could mean any number of things. It could be that Rockstar is internally developing bothGrand Theft Auto 6and a newBullygame, or it could mean that another studio is working on a newBullygame. Alternatively, instead of a newBullygame, it could be aBullyremake or remaster. There’s even the possibility that it’s a cross-mediaBullyproject instead.
It bears repeating, however, that Henderson very clearly said thatBully 2was being madein his prior leak. More specifically, he said thatBully 2was almost revealed during The Game Awards 2021. Several people were also said to have been shown “material” that made clear a reveal was coming soon. This was said in mid-December 2021.
Whether Henderson’s leak is accurate remains to be seen, but the insider seems confident that his information is accurate.Bullyfansmay want to manage their expectations, however, lowering those expectations from aBullysequel announcement to somethingBully-related. As for when fans can expect further information about thisBullyproject, it remains to be seen.
