Fans already know thatBoruto has grown tremendously powerfulin the last 3 years and, now, it is clear that he has also managed to learn one of the most powerful Jutsu to have ever existed, the Flying Thunder God.

What Is The Flying Thunder God Technique?
The Flying Thunder God Technique is one of the strongest space-time Jutsu to have ever existed in theNarutoworld. This technique was developed by none other than the Second Hokage of Konoha, Tobirama Senju. Fans know Tobirama to bean exceptionally powerful Hokage. He was quite an inventor and developed a bunch of powerful jutsu over time. Fans know Tobirama to be exceptionally skilled when it comes to developing techniques and it can be said that one of the most useful abilities that he came up with was the Flying Thunder God. Essentially, this technique allows the user to set up some sort of seal on any alive or inanimate object.
The person can then teleport to this mark instantaneously, traversing through space and time. This is a powerful space-time ninjutsu that can be extremely useful in combat when used correctly. While Tobirama certainly developed this Jutsu, it was none other than the Fourth Hokage of Konoha, Minato, who perfected the usage of this technique and took it to the very next level. Minato is the best user of the Flying Thunder God in the entire story. In fact, his moniker of the Yellow Flash was given to him because of his proficiency with this Jutsu. Minato also developed secondary stages of this technique which allowed him to strike the target in a much more efficient manner. In terms of speed, Minato was faster than Tobirama and even his usage of the Flying Thunder God Jutsu was much better.

The shinobi squad of Minatowas also capable of performing the Flying Raijin Jutsu. However, none of them could use it by themselves. Essentially, three of these Shinobi had to combine their powers to perform this technique, which just goes to show the complexity of this power. Fans saw this technique being performed during the 4th Great Ninja War when Mei Terumi was taken to the battlefield after the arrival of Madara. It is quite clear for the fans to see that the Flying Thunder God Jutsu is one of the most useful ones to have existed in Naruto and, now, Boruto can perform this technique as well.
Boruto Uzumaki Learns The Flying Thunder God
Boruto Uzumaki went on a 3-year timeskip trainingat the end ofBorutoPart 1. Fans got to see Boruto depart the village with Sasuke and vow to get stronger. Unfortunately, fans have not seen any of their training just yet. That said, fans do know that Boruto has grown tremendously powerful. At some point, Boruto also managed to learn the Flying Thunder God technique and this jutsu certainly gives him more versatility in combat. The story doesn’t explain how Boruto learned this Jutsu. Fans don’t even know who exactly taught it to him. However, it can only be either Sasuke or Kashin Koji.
Boruto used this technique for the very first time recently and he managed to teleport from right in front of Kawaki to the pocket dimension of Code. Normally, it should have been impossible for Boruto to reach this place. However, it appears that Boruto has a mark on Code that lets him teleport to him instantaneously.

This could also explain how Boruto was able to teleport and step on Code’s face in the first chapter of the sequel manga. Curiously, Boruto did mention that he isn’t as proficient in this technique just yet. Boruto is still a young ninja and for him to master the Flying Thunder God is not possible just yet. That said, Boruto does possess decent skill with this technique. He needs to focus quite a lot in order to locate and teleport to his targets, especially if they are farther away.
At the end of the day, he does get the job done, which is what matters. However, Boruto explicitly mentions that his usage of this technique is not as good as that of his grandfather, Minato. Minato was an absolutely incredible user of this jutsu and he had spent years trying to perfect it. So, it does make sense that Boruto isn’t as skilled with it just yet. However, fans must note that Boruto has his entire life in front of him to master this technique and reach the same level as Minato and possibly even surpass him.
How Boruto Can Improve The Flying Thunder God Technique
The Flying Thunder God is a Jutsu that Minato perfected, but it is clear that Boruto has not mastered it just yet. For him to be able to utilize this technique to its absolute best, Boruto would need to make use of special kunai, such as the ones that Minato used. This will give him more versatility in combat and allow him to take his enemies by surprise, making Boruto one of the fastest Shinobi around as well. Of course, this is going to be difficult for Botuto to pull off, however, given that he is a genius and a character who picks up things quite quickly, fans should expect him to master this ability in no time. Boruto can also utilize this jutsu in many other ways and incorporate it into his other powerful techniques. The fact is that Boruto has gained a massive speed buff because of the Flying Thunder God and he needs to make full use of it in combat.
Boruto learning this technique also allows the plot to progress in many ways. For instance, if he has marked Code permanently, then fans know that he can teleport to him anytime he wishes. This is a big development in the story and allows for these characters to reunite and, at the same time, potentially even work together in orderto defeat the 10 Tails clones.Fans already know that Code and Boruto are both up against the same enemy now and, perhaps, the Flying Thunder God Jutsu is the link that will bring them together to find against this new front of enemies.
Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and theManga Plusapp. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto Part 2 chapter 5, is set to be July 13, 2025.
