After launching only a few days ago, players have been scouring the planets inBorderlands 3forreferences, Easter eggs, and secrets. Unsurprisingly, the game has come through in spades, covering all sorts of topics from movies, TV shows, celebrities, to other video games. One the the biggest streamers on Twitch has also been targeted byBorderlands 3with a unique sniper rifle called The Two Time.

That person in this case is the internet personality Guy Beahm, better known by his online alias Dr Disrespect. In fact, Gearbox has seemingly crafted a specialBorderlands 3side mission dedicated to the streamer that players who have reached the mid-30s can find on the Pandoran map called Devil’s Razor. In the southwestern corner near the fast travel station, players will come across a character called Edgren who started the ECHOnet Neutrality quest.

Not only does this character have a gaming station, he features clothing similar to Dr Disrespect, with his glasses, headphones, and longer hairstyle. It’s not 1 to 1 accurate, but it’s close enough that it can be easily linked. Edgren also uses a lot of phrases and terminology that one might find when watching a Disrespect stream, plus the fact that this self proclaimed pro gamer is complaining about lag causing issues during his online gaming competition.

After solving Edgren’s issues by destroying the UG-THAK throttler at the ECHO Repeated Center, players arerewarded with The Two Time epic sniper rifle. This semi-auto Hyperion gun also comes with the shock element and and damage blocked by the shield returns bullets to the gun magazine. The flavor text also features the phrase Back-to-back consecutive champion, a line which Dr Disrespect would use for himself.

With such a large viewer base, it’s not surprising that Gearbox has targeted a personality like Dr Disrespect. Outside of the sniper rifle,Borderlands 3features another Disrespect Easter egg. Players have discovered a rare class mod for the Operative class called Forceful Disruptor, granting Zane +1 to Violent Violence, +1 to Violent Speed, and +1 to Violent Momentum as well as a 17% bonus to grenade radius. Dr Disrespect fans will likely notice that the item references his motto of violence, speed, and momentum. While it’s an easy item to overlook, it managed to catch the attention of the popular streamer, who also dubbed it as the best class mod in the game.

Borderlands 3is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
