AFIFA 23fan has discovered a bizarre glitch that causes a player to fly through the air in order to connect with a headbutt as the ball gets beyond the reach of a standard defender.FIFA 23was released just last month, and it is suffering from some glitches.

OneFIFA 23player may have discovered a problem with the AI programming during a match in which a defender flies through the air to headbutt the soccer ball, which should’ve been far too high for them. Reddit user StarrkC recently shared aFIFA 23clip in which they are running a ball down the field in an effort to score a goal and the opposing AI cheats to prevent it.

One of theFIFAdefendersin StarrkC’sFIFA 23video headbutts the soccer ball at a reasonable height as the player passes it to another player, but the second defensive play is what makes the clip so bizarre. The second defender leaps high into the air to headbutt the ball even further, jumping much higher thanFIFA 23players are supposed to be able to. Adding to the humor of the ridiculousFIFA 23occurrence, the player’s animation appears rubbery before landing back on the grand and acting like nothing abnormal happened during the match.

TheFIFA 23video concludes with the defender sending the ball back into the possession of an opposing player who passes it to another who seemingly takes another shot at the goal. Because theFIFA 23AI doesn’t traditionally respond in the way that it does during the clip, EA Sports may patch things to prevent future games from being lost to this bug. Not even thehighly rankedFIFAUltimate Team playersare supposed to be able to defy physics the way that the player in StarrkC’sFIFA 23clip did, highlighting a bug that can create the superior defender in the game.

MultipleFIFA 23fans have expressed their enjoyment of the headbutt in StarrkC’s clip, while one stated that they wished they could recruit the defender that flew through the air. One response to StarrkC’s video referenced the fact thatFIFA 23is supposed to simulate soccer unlikegames such asRocket LeagueorMario Strikers: Battle Leaguewhich further illustrates the absurdity of the defender’s massive jump.

FIFA 23is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
