Similar to Childe inGenshin Impact, Kamisato Ayato is a Hydro unit that excels in AoE. His kit revolves around his Elemental Skill in which he gains a few seconds of Hydro infusion on his Sword. In this state, Ayato can rapidly attack in a decent AoE. Although Ayato will rely on his Elemental Skill, his Hydro hits are considered Normal Attacks. Therefore, Swords that enhance Normal Attack can be a great option for the Boba-lover.

However, due to the availability of powerful Hydro DPS like Neuvillette and Mualani, players may instead use Ayato as a Hydro enabler. Thanks to his large Elemental Burst AoE, Ayato can be a reliable Hydro enabler,especially for teams like Nilou’s Bloomor Morgana team. 41.3% ATK
R5 Effect
Increases DMG against enemies affected by Pyro or Electro by 36%.
Lion’s Roar doesn’t have any Crit value to offer, but it has an interesting effect, especially at R5. The weapon itself is not that good. However, if Ayato isoperating in a Vaporize or Electro-charged team, the 4-star weapon’s value increases significantly and becomes a decent option for Ayato.
36.8% Crit DMG
After defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 24% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.
Blackcliff Longsword is a F2P option for Ayato, and it’s obtainable from Paimon’s shop. It costs 24 Masterless Starglitter, and it’s limited to three purchases every two months. For Ayato to fully use Blackcliff Longsword, players have to make sure he can maintain the weapon’s stacks by continuously defeating enemies.
Blackcliff Longsword is not an ideal 4-star weapon for Ayato, but it has Crit DMG sub-stat, which increases its value above the other 4-star options.
27.6% Crit Rate
Increases DMG dealt by Normal and Charged Attacks by 40%. Additionally, regenerates 100% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charged Attacks score a Crit Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s.
Black Sword is anamazing weapon inGenshin Impact. Unfortunately, it’s only obtainable if players spend some money on the Battle Pass. It’s not only good because of its Crit Rate sub-stat, but Black Sword is also amazing for Ayato because it enhances his Normal Attack by up to 40%.
49.6% ATK
Effect
Increases Shield Strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.
Summit Shaper is a viable option for Kamisato Ayato if players pair him with ashielder inGenshin Impact. It shouldn’t be any shielder though—it should be a character who can install a sturdy shield that withstands DMG. Once Ayato gets that, Summit Shaper will greatly increase his ATK%.
44.1% Crit DMG
Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter’s Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter’s Emblem provides a 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character’s Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter’s Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently.
Similar to his sister, Ayato can wield the Mistsplitter Reforged. He can easily maintain, at least, one stack of the weapon, which is enough togive him a notable DPS increase. Getting the second and third stacks is tricky, but not impossible.
In the end, the extra Crit DMG alongside the high Base ATK alone are enough to rank Mistsplitter Reforged above many other Swords for Ayato inGenshin Impact.
44.1% Crit Rate
HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder’s Max HP.
Primordial Jade Cutter is one of thebest Swords inGenshin Impact. With Ayato, he won’t only benefit from the insane Crit Rate sub-stat, but also its HP-increasing passive. Ayato’s Skill has a multiplier that scales with his HP, so Primordial Jade Cutter can boost this bonus DMG.
33.1% Crit Rate
Obtain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. When other nearby party members use Elemental Skills, the character equipping this weapon will gain 1 Wavespike stack. Max 2 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When the character equipping this weapon uses an Elemental Skill, all stacks of Wavespike will be consumed to gain Rippling Upheaval: each stack of Wavespike consumed will increase Normal Attack DMG by 20% for 8s.
Haran Geppaku Futsu is Ayato’s Signature weapon inGenshin Impact. The 5-star Sword increases Ayato’s Crit Rate by a whopping 33%, which makes building Ayato much easier. Additionally, players get extra Normal Attack and Elemental DMG from the weapon’s passive if Ayato can keep the stacks going. Unsurprisingly, Ayato can easily maintain the entire weapon’s stacks, which makes it hisbest in-slot weapon inGenshin Impact.
