Apex Legendsis in a bit of a tough spot right now. While the game is still one of the most popular battle royales on the market, many members of the community have started to become frustrated. From complaints about the Ranked split on Kings Canyon to alack of content with the Monsters Within Event, Respawn faces several challenges regarding its popular game. Unfortunately, things don’t seem to be getting much better as the developer is trying to fix a recurring problem impacting the game.

Recently, players inApex Legendshave been experiencing a frustrating bug at the start of matches. Caused by animated Epic poses, players are experiencing frequent game crashes when loading into games. In an effort to aid players, Respawn recently posted a message in-game and on Twitter advising players to unequip Epic poses fromcharacters inApex Legends. In addition to the advisory, the message encouraged players to spread the word about the problem. Furthermore, Respawn noted that a fix is expected next week. However, Respawn failed to give an exact time for when the patch would go live.

One Respawn developer known as RobotHavGunz talked about the issue with players on theApex LegendsSubreddit. According to the developer, “There’s no obvious reason - looking at the code - why Epic (animated) banner poses should trigger this more often.” In addition, they noted that the bug never appeared in testing or QA. Nevertheless, they acknowledged that the bug was a real issue impacting many players. Apparently, the bug originates from a safeguard put in place by Respawn to prevent poses from running on the wrong Legends.

This new recommendation from Respawn will be a tough pill formany frustratedApex Legendsfansto swallow as Epic poses are one of the more exciting cosmetics in the game. In addition, these Epic poses are often available for purchase in the game store and during limited-time events, meaning the developers are recommending that players remove cosmetics that some paid real-world money to obtain. To make matters worse, players have already had problems with Epic poses, as many experienced similar crashes due to the bug last month.

This troubling news puts a damper on recent details regarding the newest season of the battle royale. A couple of days ago, Respawn announced that the name of the upcoming seasonal update was Escape. In addition, the developer revealed that Ash, formerly fromTitanfall 2and also the announcer of Arenas, was coming to the game as a new playable character. Hopefully, the developer fixes this recurring bug concerning Epic poses before the launch of the new season so that fans can experience all the new content available
